This was Straatwerken
The first edition of our artistic street fair ‘Straatwerken’ came to an end. This group effort between several shops and art spaces from the neighborhood, and the students In Situ of Royal Academy Antwerp, was a blast.
For the occasion, Dingen die niet verkopen was decorated as an Art Tourist Info-center, causing lots of confusion for lost tourists. We handed out maps for ‘spaces outside of the off-program’ to draw attention to the rich artistic landscape that also exists outside of the official program of Antwerp Art Weekend. During the art fair, there were installations from our Nomnomnom artists as well as musical performances from a.o. Ocean Eddy, Crayon, Ruben De Smet, Hanne De Backer & Eric Thielemans, Wim De Busser, … A summary of the festivities and Lodewijk Heylens’ 15 minute of fame can be watched here.
