NL Ambers onderzoek en werk vertrekken vanuit een fascinatie voor vergankelijkheid in de openbare ruimte. Saskia werkt rond de complexiteit van de emotionele en economische waarde van huizen en (het ontbreken van) geborgenheid.

Beiden lijden ze op hun eigen manier aan verzamelwoede, die misschien wel ontstaan is vanuit een poging het tijdelijke nog iets langer te kunnen vasthouden. Toen ze merkten dat ze een gemeenschappelijke collectie beelden hadden, besloten ze deze naast elkaar te leggen. In Traces treedt hun werk, dat voortkomt uit twee afzonderlijke praktijken, in dialoog met elkaar.

EN Amber’s research and work starts from a fascination with the ever-changing character of public space. Saskia works with the complexities of emotional and economical value of housing and (an absence of) the feeling of home.

Saskia as well as Amber are avid collectors of things which other people might disregard. This possibly springs from an attempt to hold on to something fleeting for just a little while longer.

When they noticed that they had a nearly identical collection of images, they decided to place them next to each other. In Traces, their work, originating from two disparate practices, turns into a dialogue.

Opening on January 10th at 5pm, finissage on January 22nd at 5pm.
